The Approach Behind Every Service
Each service at Crownworks follows the same underlying pattern: the watch is received with care, its condition is documented, findings are shared, and work proceeds only with the owner's agreement. Collection is arranged once testing is complete.
The three services differ in scope, not in approach. A Welcome Check uses the same careful intake as a Bespoke Restoration Commission. The difference is in what happens next.
Intake & Condition Record
Every piece enters the workshop with a numbered record noting its state, agreed scope, and owner contact details.
Assessment & Approval
Findings are shared before work begins. If scope changes, a conversation happens before costs do.
Service & Craft
Work is carried out at the bench, with appropriate tools and parts, matched to the watch's original specification where relevant.
Testing & Collection
Movement services are tested on a timegrapher before collection is arranged. Water resistance is checked where applicable.

Welcome Check & Cleaning

A gentle external cleaning and condition check for any watch, with a friendly explanation of what was observed. A pleasant first visit for newcomers to the workshop. Includes simple care tips for everyday wear.

Service & Polish Package

A movement service combined with case and bracelet refinishing, returning the watch tidy and running smoothly. A balanced choice for well-loved daily pieces. The finish is matched to the original surfaces.

Bespoke Restoration Commission

A made-to-measure restoration of a special timepiece, planned together from the first consultation through final delivery. Suited to heirlooms and rare models. Every decision is discussed so the result reflects the owner's wishes.

Shared Across All Services
Workshop Standards That Apply to Every Watch
Secure Handling & Storage
All pieces entering the workshop are stored securely when not on the bench. Access is limited and logged.
Written Intake Record
Every watch receives a numbered intake note. A copy is available to the owner at drop-off.
Approval Before Any Work
Findings are shared and agreed upon before any service begins. No additional scope is undertaken without contact.
Parts Transparency
Replacement parts are identified in advance — brand-supplied, aftermarket, or machined — and the owner decides.
Client Data Protection
Contact information is used only for the work order and retained only as long as the service record requires. Not shared with third parties.
Service Record Maintained
A service history is kept on file for every watch seen at Crownworks — useful for future reference or when a piece changes hands.
